Casa Alba

The brief was simple: make the house feel like it had always belonged to the hillside. We stripped back decades of additions, opened the plan toward the oaks, and built a palette of limewashed plaster, oiled white oak and hand-thrown terracotta.

Furniture was kept low and generous. A built-in banquette wraps the kitchen window, and a single long table — made with a local woodworker — anchors the main room. Art and objects were gathered slowly, many from the clients' own travels, so the house reads as collected rather than styled.
